The car will use the same platform as the Focus Hybrid. Focus EV specifications are analogous to other Electric Vehicle’s in this small sedan class. With an average 100 mile (160km) range a 105 kW electric motor will propel the car to 85mph (137kph) top speed. 23kWh is held by the Lithium Ion battery pack.
The specification is good, but there is concern about the range under certain conditions like freezing weather and hard acceleration.

2013 C-Max Energi

The C-MAX Energy is an add on hybrid electrical version of the new multi-activity auto .The new C-MAX Energy guarantees to provide provides maximum fuel efficiency by pairing a high-voltage lithium-ion battery and electrical traction motor with a high-efficiency Atkinson-cycle gas engine. According to Ford, the vehicle will be offering a selection of more than 5 hundred miles ( eight hundred kilometers ), meaning a better charge-sustaining fuel usage than Chevrolet Volt. The cluster's new My View feature permits drivers to access far more automobile info like the electric demands of automobile accessories, including aircon, which influences fuel economy and the electrical driving range of the C-MAX Energy.

2013 C-Max Hybrid

It has redone its Hybrid technology from the Fusion Hybrid and integrated that into C-Max Hybrid , but it is also made some enhancements.Though the company has not given the detail specification, they claim that there will be improvement in the fuel efficiency in C-Max Hybrid compared to Fusion Hybrid. This already returns an EPA-estimated 41 miles per gallon town and 36 miles per gallon road.
Similar to the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid will be able to travel on electrical power only up to at least 47 mph, though Ford hints the improved C-Max Hybrid could have an even higher EV top speed because of bigger battery.
