Renault ZOE EV

Description:

  • An electric motor generating 60kW and 222Nm of instant torque is found in the ZOE.
  • The energy provided to the vehicle is from lithium-ion battery pack.
  • The vehicle will be fully charged within 6 to 8 hours when it is charged through 1st level that is electric household power supply.
  • The driving range of around 160km is available on full charge ZOE,which is enough for the daily travelling for the commuters .
  • When the vehicle is charged for the purpose by quick charger then it will be charged within 10 minutes, which will offer 55 km of range.
  • The ZOE shown in Paris is almost 90% production ready, but the interior, side mirrors and headlights would be replaced with more conventional equipment; also the wheel will be replaced with smaller and simpler one.

Renault Fluence ZE

Description:The Electric version of Fluence is of the length of 4.75 meters .It is longer than its previous version because it has to contain the battery behind the rare seats.

Renault Flounce is answer to those who says that EV’s are required to be small, uncomfortable and narrow city cars, which are meant for limited tourist capability.
The new version is of the same size as the internal combustion engine version of Fluence.

The cabin is very spacious.The interiors are mostly same except the rev-counter is replaced with a bespoke device which tells about the remaining battery life and also about the range.

Various smart technologies are also used such as navigation system, Bluetooth telephony and automatic dual zone climate control .Also there is automatic windscreen -wiper and headlamp activation.

The vehicle is powered by synchronous electric motor with rotor coil. Maximum power is 70kWat 11,000 rpm, whereas maximum torque is 226 Nm.

The capacity of the lithium –ion battery is 22kWh.

The Renault vehicle’s battery can be charged in 3 possible ways.

  • By using 220V electric household supply, it requires around 6 to 8 hours to fully charge the vehicle.
  • Using Fast charging stations, which recharges the car in almost 30 minutes.
  • Quick Drop battery systems which requires about 3 minutes to fully recharging the automobile.

Predicted Launch: Mid 2011 in Europe.

Price: between, 21000 to 26,000 Euros depending on VAT.
