GM’s eAssist technology to boost Regal fuel economy

General Motors latest gas economic eAssist technology is giving boost to the 2012 Buick Regal. System that pals a electrical motor and little battery to the automobile’s 4 cylinder engine, would also help the fuel usage of Regal's by 25% over
the existing prototype of car, they said on Tuesday.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency by the means of eAssist, new Regal’s will get a computed 26 MPG in town, and 37 m.p.g road. The 2nd Buick to get eAssist by GM is the 2012 Regal.
In November GM first showcased the advanced technology, thus saying it to be the standards on the 2012 Buick LaCrosse ,also full size car’s gas mileage is increased to 37 m.p.g highway.
Gm said that, “On 2012 Regal nevertheless, eAssist will be sold as a choice”.
The technology that makes the use of regenerative braking, electrical power and also another fuel-savior technology, is also referred as a mild hybrid. It distinguishes from more conventional composites in the sense that the electrical motor only helps the engine but it can't power the engine by itself. To roll out eAssist to other autos is what GM has planned for, but still has to figure, which of them. “Before rolling out it to other brands we are going to continue to observe it” claimed Stephen Poulos who is the worldwide chief engineer for eAssist.
He remained silent as to whether the Chevy Malibu will be the next. Bragman, a researcher with IHS car in Northville, announced eAssist is probably going to first appear in GM's high end cars, and will be later expanded to more cost effective models after the cost of technology goes down. Actually “Mild Hybrid Technologies” are probably going to be more workaday as automobile makers try to meet augmenting fuel usage standards. "we will see more of similar systems appearing across all the automakers," Bragman expounded.
That energy is then turned into electricity and moved to the batteries in the engine. Many difficult parts go into making ...
Many of us are looking towards plant oil as fuel alternative choice to combat high gas costs. Conversion kits are available,
